EMMAUS FACES A TOUGH 5-3 LOSS TO HERSHEY IN PIAA STATE SEMI-FINAL ROUND.

Emmaus Battles Back At Last Minute

Coming into the half, Emmaus, with a 26-0 record, found itself down 3-0 vs. Hershey.  The beginning of the second half was more of the same.  With 19:07 left and down 5-0, Emmaus Head Coach Sue Butz-Stavin called a time out to regroup her team.  Butz-Stavin put Bailey Tietz (Soph.) in the Emmaus goal cage and switched Kacie Patton (Sr.) from mid to forward.  Emmaus was able to score 3 unanswered goals in the next 9 minutes of play (the last being at with 10:37 left on the clock). Defensively, GK Bailey Tietz recoded 2 saves and the final score settled at 5-3 Hershey over Emmaus.

Bailey Tietz, Goalie For The Lehigh Valley Junior Keystone Team Is Able to Hold Off Pocono In Shoot-Out

The Junior Division consists of freshmen and sophomore field hockey players throughout Pennsylvania.  The championship round this year came down to a hard fought battle between Pocono (POC1) and Lehigh Valley (LV1).  Both teams exhibited excellent defense and, as a result, both regular and overtime play ended in a 0-0 tie.  In the shoot-out round, Bailey Tietz was in goal for LV1.  POC1 began offensively vs. Tietz.  Tietz saved 4 of 5 strokes and made her final diving save on the fifth ball, guaranteeing a win for the Lehigh Valley.

A Very Young Firestyx Team Able To Bring Home The Gold In U19 Pool C

Despite only 2 true U19 players on the team, and even some who would qualify at the U14 level, the Firestyx Club Team is able to win U19 Pool C at the 2018 National Field Hockey Festival.  In their pool, the Firestyx tied for fewest goals against (5) and had the most goals scored (26) and had a 5-1 overall record. 

KEYSTONE STATE GAMES JUNIOR DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP DECIDED IN A SHOOT-OUT WITH LEHIGH VALLEY (LV1) WINNING 1-0 OVER POCONO (POC1).

You are visiting the website of bailey tietz! the purpose of this website is to give information about my field hockey goalkeeping accomplishments and keep you informed as to where you can come to see me play.

 

Born on March 30th, 2003 at exactly 3:00 in the afternoon, there is no question as to why 30 is the number Bailey wears.  Bailey has been training with some of the best coaches in the nation since 2012.  At 16 years of age, she has already chalked up two National Club Championship titles, a National Indoor Tournament gold medal, 3 PIAA District XI Championships, a Keystone State Championship, and a National Field Hockey Festival Gold Medal.  Please visit the accomplishments pages to learn more about Bailey's field hockey and academic achievements.

 

Bailey played on the Emmaus High School Field Hockey Team (Jr.) this fall. The team had a very successful season and managed to win both the East Penn. Conference and the District XI Championship, making it all the way to the state semi-final game for the third year in a row.


The U19 Firestyx Team will be at The National Field Hockey Festival in Tampa, FL over the 2019 Thanksgiving Holiday.  Firestyx will be in ppool G and Bailey, as always, will be wearing #30 in goal. Complete schedule can be found on the "Come See Me Play" page of this site.

On To States For Emmaus

In a hard fought game, Emmaus wins 1-0 over Easton to claim their 30th straight PIAA District XI Championship Title.  In addition, Emmaus also captured their 4 straight East Penn Conference League Title on Oct. 18th, 2018, with their 2-1 win over Easton.  The Hornets have won the league title for 14 out of the past 15 years.
